When Kristi & Bubba Barber first saw this previous Pure Oil gas station located on St. Louis Street in Downtown Mobile, Alabama, they just knew. This is where they would start their dream of opening a specialty cheese shop, showcasing some of the world's best cheeses.

Lil Story Time

Stephenie + Freddie took over in October 2022. Stephenie (me) was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama and Freddie was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland. We met in 2017 and it has been really cool ever since <3 I have worked for the cottage since the Spring of 2018 with a year hiatus during Covid since we were in Ireland when Covid hit. I came back to the cottage once we returned in Spring of 2021 then after a year of thoughts we had a chat with Kristi and Bubba about taking over. Come October 2022 we became the cottage’s second owners and have done our best to keep our space happy and inclusive. We are an LGBTQ+ Friendly establishment forever and always.
